Pence Family in Snow Canyon
We recently moved to a new house, and the Pence family lives near us. My husband and I have the pleasure of teaching the girls in Sunday school, and they are truly such a delight. There is a goodness and love in this family, which made it such a pleasure to work with them!
One of my favorite things about the session, was when I met up with the family. Talia mentioned that she wanted them to each look like they normally do, just the best version of that. I think it can be easy to get overwhelmed by a photo session, thinking that you need to purchase new clothes that all match and create a certain aesthetic, but it's important to let your family members be true to themselves. You'll want to look back and remember who they were in that moment, and I respect Talia for having the wisdom to encourage that in her family. I love that she had her hair in a ponytail. She simply said "It's just me."
Family photos don't need to be stressful or break the budget. I fully believe that it should be a time where everyone can relax, be themselves, and just let their fun and natural family dynamic shine through. The Pence's did exactly that, and it was really nice, as someone on the other side of the camera, to just bask in that energy.
