Family Pictures on the White Rocks in Snow Canyon, Utah
Some of the bluest eyes I have ever seen, filled with light and joy smile back. I can't help but feel that this may be one of my favorite sessions yet, and I am only a few snaps into it. It's not just because the light is dreamy, or that the location is stunning, or that the family has some of the brightest and most genuine smiles I have ever seen. It's because I get to photograph some of my favorite people on planet earth.
Darci, has been my best friend since I was 2 years old. She looked so very much like her youngest daughter, that sometimes I catch myself thinking that I've travelled back through time and have arrived on her doorstep, eager to play. We spent countless hours playing, walking between our houses, giggling on the shared fence of our backyards. We talked about growing up and having families of our own one day. Families that would play together. As I grew older I never thought those dreams would come true, but they have. It is such a treasure to see my own children creating and nurturing friendships with my best friend's children.
Not only that, but Darci married a good one. She and Colby have one of those really true types of love. You know, the type that makes everyone around them feel as much in love with them as they are with each other. It has been such an honor to see their love bloom and grow into such a beautiful family, and I am even more honored that I was able to capture some sweet moments for them to cherish.
